The purpose of this e-participation policy is to initiate a culture and practice of e-participation in order to enhance transparency and public involvement in improving the quality of services provided by Rembau District Council (MDR). MDR consistently recognizes public engagement to explore broader perspectives, sources of information, and potential solutions to enhance decisions and services. It also provides the foundation for productive relationships, better dialogue and discussions, and effective governance.

The objective of e-participation is to involve the people in the development policies and decision-making processes through the use of information and communication technology. Among the communication channels used are Online Surveys, Inquiry Feedback, Polls, Email, and MDR's Social Media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

Thus, MDR warmly welcomes participation while complying with the established terms and conditions as follows:

  1. Any statements that touch on sensitivities related to race, religion, and politics are strictly prohibited.
  2. It is forbidden to demean, attack personally, or make statements that could offend the feelings of other participants.
  3. Control your statements and refrain from using offensive or nationalistic language.
  4. Avoid engaging in off-topic conversations or sending unrelated sentences.
  5. Topics and links to explicit content are strictly prohibited.
  6. Ensure your statements/topics do not violate Copyright Law, Trademarks, Patents, or any other laws.
  7. It is prohibited to use this e-participation platform for running contests, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick schemes, internet money schemes, chain letters, spam emails, whether commercially or otherwise.
  8. Uploading files containing computer viruses such as "Trojan Horses," "worms," "time bombs," "cancel boots," or any other software or programs that could damage the operations of other users' computers is not allowed.
  9. The administrators of the e-participation platform do not endorse, support, represent, or guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any statements/topics made within this platform. Individuals should understand that any risks associated with the reliability of any material in this platform are borne by the individual.
  10. The administrators of the e-participation platform have the right to edit and remove any statements/topics at any time without notifying the authors of those statements/topics.
  11. The administrators of the e-participation platform have the right to amend this e-participation policy and guidelines at any time without prior notice.
  12. As a participant or contributor in this e-participation platform, you are bound by the terms and conditions of the e-participation guidelines.
