  • Monitoring and preventing new construction or modifications to existing structures without approval in the Council's administrative area
  • Investigating and taking action on complaints from individuals and communities
  • Taking action against matters related to public nuisances and obstructions
  • Conducting operations to capture stray livestock (cattle/buffalo) and wild dogs
  • Implementing enforcement actions for property tax arrears and government stall rental arrears owned by the Rembau District Council
  • Taking enforcement action against unauthorized advertising
Finance Department
Expenditure Section
  • Reviewing and processing all types of payments regularly and in accordance with the approved annual budget
  • Preparing allocation and expenditure reports for the Council
  • Overseeing the receipt and expenditure of special allocations received by the Council
  • Processing and disbursing salaries of permanent, contract, and temporary Council staff
  • Reviewing and disbursing all claims for Council staff allowances such as overtime, travel allowances, and petty cash
  • Monitoring claims for payments made within 14 days
Accounting Section
  • Preparing, maintaining, and updating all financial records and reports accurately and regularly following accounting rules and procedures
  • Managing and maintaining Council's fixed deposit and current accounts based on Council's cash flow
  • Preparing bank reconciliation statements
  • Reviewing all revenue collected and accounting for it accurately and regularly
  • Preparing receipts and payment returns and submitting them to the Unclaimed Moneys Act
Information Technology Division
  • Resolving user complaints about computer malfunctions and other ICT-related issues
  • Ensuring servers and networks can operate at a 90% accessibility level each day
  • Disseminating information related to the Rembau District Council to users
  • Ensuring the ePBT system operates at a 90% accessibility level each day
Internal Audit Unit
  • Assisting management in achieving its objectives by ensuring financial management is conducted systematically at all levels
  • Assessing the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all records, accounting systems, management information, and internal control systems in place
  • Ensuring all programs and activities are carried out economically, efficiently, and effectively in achieving their goals
  • Protecting all assets and interests of the organization from loss, fraud, and misappropriation

Department of Health & Municipal Services
  • Overseeing business license and temporary permit applications
  • Monitoring the rental of public hall facilities and official equipment for public events
  • Administration management and complaints related to solid waste management and public cleansing
  • Conducting vector-borne disease control activities according to the District Health Office's control measures
  • Conducting nuisance control activities related to animals (dog licenses)
  • Inspecting food premises and food-based businesses to ensure cleanliness complies with regulations and stipulated conditions
  • Planning and implementing environmental health programs
One Stop Center (OSC)
  • Responsible for receiving, reviewing, registering, and distributing development proposal applications from the Local Center Unit (OSC)
  • Responsible for coordinating OSC Committee Meetings and decisions
  • Responsible for monitoring the issuance of the CCC (Certificate of Completion and Compliance)
  • Performing duties as directed from time to time
Department of Urban and Landscape Planning
  • Planning and controlling development according to applicable Development Plans, policies, and guidelines
  • Processing planning applications (SBKS, KM, KMT)
  • Providing planning input into the development trends of other government technical agencies
  • Controlling and planning landscape development in accordance with established planning concepts
  • Implementing the 5 steps of the Safe City Program
Valuation and Property Management Department
  • Conducting land valuation within the MDR area for property tax purposes
  • Updating valuation data
  • Issuing notices for property tax and rent arrears collection
  • Processing stall, market, and property transfer lease applications
  • Monitoring the maintenance and management of buildings and common property carried out by developers, Joint Management Bodies (JMBs), and Management Corporations (MCs)
